Bellessia was founded by a mechanical engineer turned luxury entrepreneur, whose
journey spans engineering, pre-owned luxury, and personal shopping for global luxury brands.
Driven by a vision to place India on the global luxury map, Bellessia creates timeless leather pieces that blend engineering precision, world-class craftsmanship, and
India’s rich artistic heritage.
My journey into fashion evolved through hands-on experience in the pre-owned luxury and personal shopping space, working closely with clients seeking iconic leather goods from globally respected luxury houses—particularly those rooted in Italian craftsmanship, where leather, construction, and detail define true luxury.
Studying these products closely revealed the essence of Italian luxury: timeless design, disciplined construction, refined materials, and an uncompromising respect for craftsmanship. It became clear that luxury is not driven by trends, but by balance, restraint, and longevity—values that continue to shape Bellessia’s design philosophy.
Through this exposure, one contrast stood out. While Italy is celebrated globally for its leather craftsmanship, India—despite its centuries-old artisanal traditions and skilled craftsmen—remains largely unrecognised as a luxury leather goods brand on the global stage.
This realisation led to the foundation of Bellessia—a brand that bridges Italian luxury sensibilities with India’s rich craft heritage. Sustainability is equally integral to our process. All our leathers are responsibly sourced from LWG certified tanneries, which follow internationally recognized environmental and ethical standards. By partnering only with certified tanneries, we ensure reduced environmental impact, responsible water and chemical management, and traceable sourcing without compromising on luxury.

THE PROCESS​
Every Bellessia piece starts as a single hide, chosen by hand for grain and character. From there, it's cut, skived, stitched, and edge-finished by artisans who've spent years working leather — the same process, piece after piece, with no shortcuts taken to hit a deadline.
We produce in small batches, not on a production line — every piece gets full attention before it ships, but it also means we don't always have every size and colour in stock at once.
MATERIALS & DETAIL​
We work exclusively with full-grain and top-grain leather — the highest available grades, chosen for how they develop character and patina over years of use rather than staying “new.” Hardware is tarnish-resistant zinc alloy, built for daily wear. Edges are hand-finished and stress points reinforced, because the parts you don’t see are what determine whether a bag lasts five years or fifteen.
Bellessia doesn’t carry a loud logo — every piece is marked with a small, stamped emblem, quiet enough that you notice it, not a stranger across the room. We’d rather the leather, the stitching, and the finish speak first.
Sustainability​
Our manufacturing partners hold SA8000 certification, reflecting fair, safe, and closely monitored working conditions. Our leather comes from LWG-certified tanneries meeting international environmental standards. Our packaging is plastic-free and FSC-certified, sourced from responsibly managed forests. None of this is a marketing layer added at the end — it's the baseline we source against before a single piece gets made.

What's your return policy?
10-day returns from the date of delivery, no conditions attached. To start a return, email support@bellessia.com or submit a request through your account — we handle every return directly.
Can I exchange instead of returning?
Yes, within the same 10-day window. Since we produce in small batches, your first-choice size or colour may not always be available — if that happens, we’ll help you find the closest match or hold your return credit until it’s back in stock.
How long does a return or exchange take to process?
7-10 working days from the time we receive your item back.
How do I track my order?
We ship all orders via Blue Dart Express. Once your order is dispatched, we’ll email you the tracking details along with your full order information — no need to log in anywhere to find it.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and wallet payments. No-cost EMI options are also available at checkout.

What is Bellessia made of?
Full-grain and top-grain leather from LWG-certified tanneries, chosen for how it ages rather than how it looks on day one. Hardware is tarnish-resistant zinc alloy. Every piece is hand-cut, stitched, and finished in our own workshop.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — every Bellessia piece carries a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects, covering stitching, hardware, and construction issues at no cost. Separately, we offer 1 year of free general maintenance from your purchase date, covering everyday wear like scuffs and conditioning. After that first year, repairs remain available for the life of the bag at clear, published pricing — because we made it, and we’ll always fix it.
What's covered under warranty, and what isn't?
Manufacturing defects — stitching failure, hardware breakage, construction issues — are covered under the 3-year warranty. Damage from accidents, water or heat exposure, improper storage, or unauthorized third-party repairs isn’t covered. Natural leather characteristics like patina development and colour variation aren’t defects — they’re part of genuine leather.
How do I request a repair or warranty claim?
Email support@bellessia.com with your order number and a couple of photos of the issue. We’ll confirm within 2 business days whether it falls under warranty, free maintenance, or paid repair, and share a quote if needed.
How long do repairs take?
Most repairs are completed within 21 days of us receiving the item. If it takes longer, we’ll reach out before you have to ask.
What do repairs cost after the first year?
Common repairs — restitching, edge touch-ups, hardware replacement, strap repair, deep cleaning — are priced clearly and shared with you before any work begins. Nothing is done without your confirmation first.
Do I need to keep a physical receipt for warranty claims?
No — your order number or the email address you purchased with is enough for us to verify your purchase.
How do I care for my Bellessia piece?
Store it in the dust bag provided, away from direct sunlight and humidity, and avoid overfilling to protect its shape. Full care instructions are on our Care page, and our repair service is always available if you need it.
