My journey into fashion evolved through hands-on experience in the pre-owned luxury and personal shopping space, working closely with clients seeking iconic leather goods from globally respected luxury houses—particularly those rooted in Italian craftsmanship, where leather, construction, and detail define true luxury.

Studying these products closely revealed the essence of Italian luxury: timeless design, disciplined construction, refined materials, and an uncompromising respect for craftsmanship. It became clear that luxury is not driven by trends, but by balance, restraint, and longevity—values that continue to shape Bellessia’s design philosophy.

Through this exposure, one contrast stood out. While Italy is celebrated globally for its leather craftsmanship, India—despite its centuries-old artisanal traditions and skilled craftsmen—remains largely unrecognised as a luxury leather goods brand on the global stage.
